In February 1994 GOD spoke to me (Ann Marie) saying, go and gather my people together and bring them to a place I will show you where they will worship me in spirit and in truth. People of Destiny was birthed as a result of that mandate. 

In April 1994, about seven people started meeting in our living room for prayer and bible study. In July 1994, we took a step of faith, rented a storefront, and launched the church. 

After two years of growth, we outgrew our current space and started looking for a larger space. We eventually found and bought a building at 4506 Church Avenue, Brooklyn, NY. Over the years, this building serves as the main meeting place for People of Destiny. 

Today, People of Destiny has two locations in New York – one in Brooklyn and one in Queens. In addition, we have new churches in Grenada and Trinidad and Tobago.

In 2005, People of Destiny planted a church in Queens Village – People of Destiny Restoration Center. In 2009, we planted another church in Trinidad and Tobago, specifically in Tobago. People of Destiny Kingdom Center. Again, we planted yet another church in Grenada in 2011 – People of Destiny Freedom Center. Since then, we have planted churches in Tunapuna, Trinidad, Roxborough, Tobago and Grenville, Grenada. We are praying about planting many more churches in the future and we hope you will join us as we do the work of transforming lives and making disciples of Jesus. 

People of Destiny has always been a multicultural group of people gathered together by our strong desire to see people changed, become followers of Jesus and worshippers of God.
